"Billy" - music playing application

I'm using Billy now. He's my friend. He uses less than 1% processing power and plays my music very nicely, with basically no impact on my computer. I like Billy. :-)

See Billy and his friends here.

  1. If playing music taxes your computer, then I think you have larger issues to deal with.

  2. Nah. I just like to feel that I've made sure that, despite the NECESSITY sometimes for music to drown out the... things around me... that I'm not sucking up CPU power (which WinAmp can be unforgiving with, especially as you turn on things like the Equalizer) meant for "real work". :-P Sometimes the bloat is not needed or worth it. When I'm working, I need to hear music, when I'm playing, I will want to tweak it to death, see visualizations maybe, etc...
