I'm not interested in any other member of the household having WinMX access at this time, so no biggie. A couple weblinks to the places hosting the hosts file, plus the fact that any time you load up WinMX you can download a copy (plus lists of OpenNap servers) makes all = good.
I love my WinMX. *sniff* I don't want it to ever go away again.
Hmm. What about entering the info from your fake hosts file into your DNS so the changes affect the entire LAN and survive O/S reloads? Hmmm.
