The ongoing prattlings of a lifelong geek and his random luck with love, work, children and rediscovering himself.
Looks like a good time.
ReplyDeleteTwo things though...
1) I think Mandi meant to sign "Love, Your Sister", not "Love Your Sister," =P
2) Do you have to buy all the pieces for rock band separately or does it come as a kit? Are Rock Band and Guitar Hero interrelated? Do the guitars work for both games?
Should could have meant that both ways (har har).. but whatever.
ReplyDeleteInstruments work between games; instruments for Rock Band are generally better (and drum set has one more pad; if you get Rock Band's drums, you're "missing one" for Guitar Hero World Tour).
Each game comes in minimal to max formats. No instruments, some instruments, all instruments. For the most complete, get Guitar Hero World Tour (basically GT 4). Has the full drums. You can have a max of 2 guitars, 1 drum set, 1 microphone. I believe the $189 kit (might be cheaper for old XBox?) has all four items. There are a bunch of unnecessary addons too. The bass drum is a killer if you don't use your legs a lot (i.e., exercise). FUN as heck though.
