There has been a lot of talk in the past couple of years about alternate electrical and fuel sources. I've even had indepth discussions about it with friends and my father. This article is just another of many that shows promise in such a market.
The day we have easy to access near-unlimited "power" is going to be a "great and terrible day" (since it will also mean certain "groups" will find it that much easier to do stupid things... like hurt people, spy on you or do other stupid things -- but such is a part of "technological progress", unfortunately).

Hasn't technology similar to this been available for many years? A lot of big trucks (read: military and commercial type vehicles, especially the OLDER ones) have diesel engines that will run on just about anything that can be made to burn from alcohol to vegetable oil.
ReplyDeleteYou must realize that people who like to eat bananas, like myself, will dread the day they invent the banana-mobile since it'll cause bananas to be in high demand. They're on the wrong track with this, what they need to do is invent something that runs on dog poop, or something else people could easily get without having to pay for. Of course, they'd have to invent some kind of dog poop collection system other than the little plastic bags. Maybe some kind of special robot that patrols your lawn like that little circular one that vacuums your house while you're not home. That's the ticket.
